hy do we lose sight of our deepest motivations in the hustle of entrepreneurship?
Entrepreneurship is about finding solutions to problems.
But more often than not, this becomes a daunting task. Turning our attention to problems can lead us to lose a grasp of why we do it. We seek purpose, but we can get off track.
We get tired and consume our energy and health.
We do because we don't realize it but aren't aligned with our life's work.
And this transforms, sooner or later, into regret.
Aligning our personal goals with our business ones is crucial for fulfillment (more on this soon).
In the meantime, you always can do things you will never regret. The plus point? These are universal.
Sometimes, it's about looking at things from a simpler vantage point.
Ready, let's go. Here's a list of actions that you'll never regret:
Gratitude is more profound than a thank you note to a partner, a colleague, or a client. It starts with a stand of appreciation: the beauty in the now, the good in your life.
It goes even further. What our minds often read as negative: the rain, unpleasant feedback, the loss of a contract...
Expressing gratitude and appreciation can change your outlook on life, allowing you to experience more happiness and opportunities.
Meditation is about finding stillness in the mind.
Enterpreneurship quickly becomes chaotic. Our minds like to be busy thinking of problems to solve. To recharge them, it becomes vital to connect with our inner selves and find silence.
Practice daily. Sooner or later, you'll learn to practice 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and stay quiet in all circumstances.
We are part of an interconnected web of life.
Acts of kindness, no matter how small, create ripples of love and compassion, nurturing the innate goodness within and around us.
You'll never regret making someone smile.
Learning is the key to evolution.
In today's world, you are retrograde if you don't learn. You are left off.
Don't limit yourself to learning for work. Learn for a hobby, for a passion left aside. Learn a new language or a new skill.
Some skills are evergreen: listening, speaking, writing, self-awareness, and self-regulation (my coaching addresses all of these).
Learn to grow. And execute what you learn. That is the way to enrich your soul and sharpen your mind.
Immersing in nature helps us to rediscover the interconnectedness of all living beings.
It reminds us of our role in the larger ecosystem.
Look up at the stars. Touch a tree. Enjoy the long walk in the woods.
Your body and mind will thank you for feeling afresh and creative, full of ideas to solve your problems.
Listen not to respond but to understand and connect.
At work and home, practice listening without preparing your answer. Be fully present.
Listening fosters recognition, whether to another soul or your inner voice.
A part of ourselves believes forgiving is losing something.
Pride? A sense of (in)justice?
BS.
Forgiving is a gift to yourself.
Feel what it feels like to hold a grudge.
Is it good?
Why do you hold on to it?
Forgiveness is a powerful act of liberation, freeing you from the chains of grief.
Allow yourself to move forward with lightness and peace.
Amid depression, creation saved me.
Whether in art, writing, or speech, expressing your creativity is a profound way to connect with your true self and share your unique worth.
A few words from a client I receive at this very instant:
"Following this morning's session, I can feel things moving and bubbling inside: I'm managing to leverage my sports habit, to extend it to my business and art... These are goals that take me completely, which awaken my "sacred fire" 🔥..."
Remember, you're not just crafting something new; you're echoing the pulse of your inner life.
The path of service ensures that your actions contribute to the greater good.
I remember a time when I was training as a Consciousness Coach. The trainers asked me to do things without explaining the reason why. I resisted. This was a test. Could I be in service? Could I remove my own goals and needs from my path?
The art of service brings joy and meaning to your life and those you touch.
That's not change we avoid.
We are change. In about 7 to 10 years, you'll have a whole new body, as many of your cells will have renewed.
We challenge the idea of change. And this habit is what we suffer from.
One of my mentors, Alan Watts, taught me to flow with life's transitions. Learn to see every transition as an opportunity for growth and renewal. That mindset shifts your energy towards the unfolding future. Adopting this habit is vital to saving a lot of energy!
Aligning business practices with your inner values is not a luxury. It's a necessity for anyone looking to lead with purpose and make a lasting impact. In the meantime, work is not everything life has to offer.
The simple practices above are ways to live a life, business or not, that is worth living: no regret in the end.
